Two charged with attempted murder at allotment

A man was left with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed at his allotment

A man and a woman have been charged with attempting to murder a man at an allotment.

The victim, a man in his late 50s, was at his allotment in Burton Street in Eastgate, Peterborough, when he was stabbed multiple times, between 19:00 BST and 20:00 on 15 June.

The attack left him with life-threatening injuries and requiring extensive treatment at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. He is now recovering at home, Cambridgeshire Constabulary said.

Mark Moss, 36, and Gemma Peterson, 37, who were initially arrested at their home in the city and released on bail, have since been re-arrested and charged with attempted murder and robbery. The pair are due before Cambridge Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
