A 14-year-old boy has been charged with burglary after two puppies were stolen from a home in Leicester.
Leicestershire Police said the Staffordshire bull terriers - one male and one female - were still missing after being being taken from a house in Helena Crescent at about 20:45 BST on 22 June.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been bailed by magistrates ahead of his next court appearance, the force said.
Officers have urged anyone with information to get in touch.
Det Con Phoebe Whittington said: "If you recognise them from the pictures or have seen them for sale, please report it to us."
