Deer running in road causes four-vehicle crash

Three people have been hurt in a four-vehicle crash after a deer ran into a road.

Bedfordshire Police said it was called to the A5 Watling Street, Hockliffe, at about 20:20 GMT on Wednesday.

A man in his 20s was left with serious injuries and a woman, also in her 20s, suffered minor injuries. They were both taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital.

Their black Toyota Yaris car collided with a silver Ford Fiesta, the force said.

The Ford Fiesta driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Sgt Stephanie Corletto, from the road policing unit, said: "We are interested in speaking to anyone who saw this incident or who may have captured it on dashcam as we piece together exactly what happened."
