Main road closed after 'serious' collision
Police said the road near Selby is expected to be closed “for some time”

A main road is likely to be closed for most of the day after a serious collision.
The A162 in the village of Barkston Ash, between Sherburn-in-Elmet and Tadcaster, has been shut since the incident in the early hours of Sunday.
North Yorkshire Police said the road between the Ash Tree pub and Black Lane is expected to be closed “for some time”.
The force did not provide any further details.
