A 79-year-old man has been charged with sexual touching after allegedly touching a girl on the leg and making inappropriate comments, police say.

Kent Police were called shortly after 13:30 BST on Sunday following a report of the incident in Folkestone's Road of Remembrance.

The force said Isaac Hammond, of Marine Terrace, Folkestone, has since been charged, having been identified and arrested that afternoon.

He has also been charged with two further counts of sexual touching relating to similar incidents on a bus in Folkestone on Saturday.

According to Kent Police, he is also charged with sexually assaulting a girl near Harbour Street on 21 March.

He will appear at Canterbury Crown Court on 1 July.
