An operator is being sought to run a workspace for small businesses in north Kent.

Gravesham Borough Council has secured £370,000 from the government's Getting Building Fund for the facility in St George's shopping centre, Gravesend.

It now needs an operator to run it and attract small firms to use it.

Lauren Sullivan, cabinet member for community and leisure, said: “We have a wealth of creative and entrepreneurial talent in Gravesham who we are looking to support and develop, and our new flexible workspace is one part of the wider picture to evolve our local economy and make it fit for the future.”

The council said it hopes it will help the town's wider economy to grow.

Cllr Sullivan said: “Post Covid we have seen more flexible working arrangements and patterns.

"We are looking to give opportunities for people to work in Gravesham in a professional environment where they can turn their ideas into reality."
