A new outdoor centre with a 100m zip wire is set to open its doors this weekend.
The attraction, called Adventures, will be the newest addition to the Mill Waters site in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.
Nottinghamshire County Council's outdoor environmental education service, Notts Outdoors, will run and manage the centre.
Activities will cost from £12 and include a suspended obstacle course, climbing nets and the zip wire, the council said.
The authority said the launch of the scheme was part of its "commitment to improving health and wellbeing" of local communities and improving its tourism offer.
Adventures at Mill Waters sits on the shore of the King's Mill Reservoir which is already home to an outdoor education centre for schools and young people as well as a cafe and boating house.
Tracey Taylor, cabinet member for children and families, said the new venue was "hugely exciting for the county".
She said: "Getting outdoors is great for our health and wellbeing and this venue offers young people and families the opportunity to experience action-packed adventures in the great outdoors."
