Pedestrian seriously injured in hit-and-run crash

A man in a serious condition in hospital following a hit-and-run crash in Leicestershire.
The pedestrian was struck by a car in Stoke Road, Hinckley, on Wednesday, Leicestershire Police said.
It was reported to police at 19:25 BST that the car, a grey Ford Mondeo, had left the scene.
The force said it was investigating the crash while the man remains in hospital in a "serious but stable condition".
Witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage is being asked to contact the police.
