A17 road closures for £200k improvement work
- Published
A section of the A17 in Lincolnshire will be closed overnight for three weeks as part of improvement work.
Lincolnshire County Council says the scheme is costing £200,000 and will be carried out between Holdingham Roundabout and the A52 Bicker Bar Roundabout.
The work starts later and will continue until Sunday 19 May 2024.
Karen Cassar, assistant director of Highways at the council, said the improvements “will help road safety and benefit everyone who uses the road”.
The work will see all road markings refreshed with new material, defective road studs replaced, gullys cleaned and potholes filled.
It will take place five days a week between Sunday and Thursday from 20:00 to 06:00 BST. The road will be open throughout Friday and Saturday evenings.
The working hours will change for 2 May due to local elections, with crews on site from 22:00 BST.
Diversions will be in place during these hours.
Ms Cassar said: “We will endeavour to get all these combined works completed as quickly as we can. I would especially like to thank anyone effected by this improvement programme for their patience and understanding while we go about completing the job.”
