Polls have closed after voters decided who will run Bristol City Council.

It is a tight race between the Green Party, which currently has 24 councillors, and Labour's 23.

Labour has been in power since 2016, when Marvin Rees became mayor. This is the first poll after the position of mayor was abolished.

Previously, Bristol had a rainbow cabinet, which included members from each political party and independent mayor, George Ferguson, at the helm.

Results are expected on Friday.
