Social worker pleads guilty to child sex offences

A social worker from Sussex has pleaded guilty to child sexual offences.
Thomas Weller, 33, from Faygate, near Horsham, appeared in court charged with engaging in sexual communication with a child and attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
Weller appeared at Lewes Crown Court on Monday for sentencing, however the hearing was adjourned until 5 July.
He has been remanded in custody until his next appearance.
Sussex Police said sexual messages between a teenage girl and an adult man were found on the girl's phone.
Weller is also charged with three counts of unauthorised computer access with intent to commit other offences.
No pleas have been entered for these charges. Weller is appealing to have them dismissed.
