An outdoor swimming pool is set to reopen with a busy summer programme.

The Open Air Pool in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, will open again from 25 May, offering activities from pool parties and family swim sessions to lane swimming and garden games.

The revised open season, that will last until 1 September, follows visitor feedback.

There will also be food and drink available to purchase on site with the Yellow Submarine charity running the centre’s café.

Sophie Bradley, the charity's enterprise manager, said they were "thrilled" at the announcement.

“This new venture helps us spread awareness of our charity, supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to live life to the full," she said.

Councillor Tim Sumner, executive member for leisure and major projects at West Oxfordshire District Council said "families will be able to enjoy a diverse activity programme that has been carefully curated by our leisure partners, GLL".

Matt Simmons, GLL’s partnership manager in West Oxfordshire, said that there would be "something for everyone” and new activities for people to try such as mindfulness sessions.
