A flood warning is in place covering a village in Staffordshire.

Homes and roads in Marchington, near Uttoxeter, were at risk of flooding due to rising water levels in Marchington Brook, the Environment Agency said.

A yellow weather warning for rain was issued for parts of England including much of Staffordshire by the Met Office, external.

It was in place until 20:00 BST on Friday.

Church Lane and Church Close in particular in Marchington could be affected, the Environment Agency said.
