A murder investigation has been launched after a 60-year-old man was killed after being hit by a vehicle which failed to stop.

The crash took place at about 23:35 GMT on Friday at Myton Way, in Ingleby Barwick, in Stockton-on-Tees.

The 60-year-old victim died at the scene and two other people were seriously injured and taken to hospital.
