Man held after cannabis worth £50k found in M6 car

A man has been arrested after cannabis with a street value of about £50,000 was found in a car on the M6.

A BMW 3 series travelling south on the motorway was stopped near Chorley, Lancashire Police said.

Officers from the roads crime unit discovered about 26lb (12kg) of cannabis in the vehicle, which was seized.

A 31-year-old man from London has been held on suspicion of possession with intent to supply, the force said.
