A man has died after a body was found in a West Yorkshire canal on Saturday.

Police were called to Huddersfield Road in Brighouse at 13:36 BST on Saturday, following reports of a man in the water.

Officers said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The force said inquiries are ongoing, but it was not treating the death as suspicious.
