Motorway reopens after car transporter hits bridge

The M621 has reopened after it was closed for several hours on Friday when a car transporter struck a railway bridge.
The road was shut after the vehicle struck a bridge near Junction 1, at the Beeston Interchange in Leeds, at about 13:00 GMT.
Traffic was severely disrupted in the area as a result of the incident, which happened on the eastbound carriageway.
Traffic information service Inrix confirmed the road had reopened at around 17:30 GMT.
