A young football fan has been gifted a pair of signed goalkeeper gloves from his hero, Guernsey FC's Josh Addison.
Eight-year-old Ciaran attended the club's last ever game on Saturday at Footes Lane, which had been the home of the Green Lions for 14 years.
After the match, which ended in a 4-0 defeat, Ciaran was able to high-five each player aside from Addison.
On hearing Addison had missed his biggest fan however, the goalkeeper managed to catch Ciaran before leaving and gifted him his match-worn gloves.
'Really cool'
Speaking to BBC Radio Guernsey, Ciaran said: "I never got to high-five him and then I said I would never get a chance to high-five him at Footes Lanes.
"But then George Fern [commentator] overheard me so went to go get him. He got me a programme and Josh signed it.
"As I was about to go he said, 'hey mate, come here' and he gave me his gloves and signed them."
Ciaran, who dreams of becoming a professional goalkeeper, then took the signed gloves into school the next day to show his friends and teachers.
"They said how kind it was of Josh and how it's really cool for his last game he signed them and they're match worn," he said.
