A warehouse which burned down almost four years ago after being used to house a cannabis farm could be rebuilt.

The building on Annison Street, in Bradford, was badly damaged in a blaze caused by an electrical fault in January 2021.

At the time, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said it was their second biggest response with 14 fire engines and 78 firefighters called to the scene, with about 30 homes in the area needing to be evacuated.

A planning application to rebuild the building’s first floor and roof has been submitted to Bradford Council and will be considered next month.

The building has been left as a shell without a roof since the fire, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

The application submitted by Hardeep Singh Saini states the site would be used for storage once the work has been completed.
