A 15-year-old boy is due to appear in court charged with four terrorism offences following an investigation into alleged suspicious online activity.
The boy, from Wakefield, faces three charges of collecting or making a record of information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, and one count of disseminating terrorist publications.
The teenager, who cannot be named due to his age, was initially arrested in November 2023 and again in February 2024 before being charged last month, Counter Terrorism Policing North East said.
He is due to appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
