The map includes information on Blue Badge parking and public toilets

A digital map has been launched showing accessible facilities around the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

The government has worked with a local mapping service to develop the tool, which initially includes information about Blue Badge parking and public toilets.

Following a trial more information is expected to be added.

States of Guernsey disability officer Gill Evans said: “Information about where to find different facilities is particularly important for people with a disability."

Traffic and Highway Services and Guernsey Ports both provided information.

The first phase of the map, external has information on public parking, including medical centres and supermarkets and includes the locations of accessible public toilets and indicates if radar keys are needed to access them.

Ms Evans added: "Some information is already available on the AccessAble access guide, but having the locations available on this map will complement that information.”
