Two police officers have been injured after their vehicles were rammed as suspects fled the scene of a suspected commercial burglary.
The incident happened at a storage container site in West Golds Way, in Newton Abbot, at about 04:00 BST on Tuesday.
Devon and Cornwall Police were informed five people had been trying doors at the location.
On arrival, two police vehicles were rammed by the occupants of a white Ford Transit van. Two officers were injured and considerable damage was caused to the vehicles, police said.
The van was then abandoned at the scene. It contained items which are thought to have been stolen.
The suspects then made off in a black Audi A5 with the registration plate LP11 YSR.
A cordon is currently in place at the container site while investigation work is carried out.
