Woman sexually assaulted near river

Police have asked anyone with any information about the incident to get in touch

A woman has been sexually assaulted near a river in North Yorkshire.
Police said the incident happened in the Aldborough area of Boroughbridge, close to the River Ure, on the afternoon of 19 June.
Officers said the man was not known to the woman. He is described as being white, aged between 30 and 40, wearing light brown or tan shorts, a blue top and black hoody or jacket.
The force has appealed for anyone who might have been in the area, who may have witnessed something or could help identify the man, to contact officers.
