New pictures of a proposed multimillion-pound overhaul of Huddersfield bus station have been released.
A formal planning application has been submitted to Kirklees Council for the new terminus in, with a decision expected on 21 November.
Split across two phases, the plans include a full interior refurbishment of the bus station, a new "green" canopy over the entrance and improvements to Macaulay Square.
A statement from Kirklees Council and West Yorkshire Combined Authority said the development would offer a "wide range of public benefits".
It said the planned development would help improve accessibility, public health and safety around the site.
Plans were initially put forward in October 2022 with a £20m budget, but did not come to fruition according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
The station was originally planned to be up and running by the end of next year, with an application expected to be put in during the summer of 2023.
Under the new scheme, the first phase of the work would see new tiles and flooring inside the terminus, with new seating and better shop fronts also among the changes.
New signs and passenger information screens would be installed and the existing travel centre, security office and drivers’ rest area improved.
To further support accessibility, sound enhancement systems, audio alerts, and braille will be used throughout the building.
During the second phase of the development, the focus would be placed on the outside of the station and see the construction of a canopy structure with a green roof.
This will run parallel to the front of the bus station along Upperhead Row and incorporate solar panel glass in its design.
A new cycle hub would also be built as part of the project, with storage racks, lockers and helmet storage.
Planning documents, external state the proposed development "aims to deliver a modern, fit for purpose facility that serves as a public transport gateway to the town centre".
