Aircraft issues could delay weekend flights

Flights for a Channel Islands airline could be affected due to issues with two of its aircraft.
Blue Islands said its flights to the Channel Islands were disrupted at the weekend after a bird strike damaged one plane's propeller and there was also an "unscheduled technical issue" with another.
The company said although the propeller blade had been replaced following the bird strike, "a small number of flights" could still be affected this weekend.
Blue Islands said those affected would be contacted by email or text.
A spokesperson said: "We are due to operate almost 100 flights this weekend.
"Our team is working tirelessly to restore full operational capability in order to minimise disruption."
