Trapped person rescued from overturned vehicle

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said crews helped a trapped casualty from an overturned vehicle on Sunday

A person was rescued by firefighters after they were trapped in an overturned vehicle on Sunday.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said the vehicle left the road on the A3083 in the Mount Hermon area of Lizard at about 09:40 GMT.

Crews from Mullion, Helston and St Keverne helped the casualty free themselves from the vehicle and administered first aid.

The road was temporarily closed to give crews a safe space for working however the road has since reopened.

"Firefighters remained with the casualty until the arrival of the ambulance to assess their injuries," the fire service added.
