Appeal after driver killed in crash with tree

A man died when his car left the road and crashed into a tree in Leicestershire.

The driver of the grey Volkswagen Golf, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene in Moor Lane, Tonge.

Leicestershire Police officers received reports of the single-vehicle crash at about 15:20 BST on Tuesday.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward, as they seek to establish the circumstances.
