A man has appeared in court following a protest in Somerset over the weekend.

David Fuller, of Kingston in Yeovil, pleaded not guilty to three counts of possessing a knife in a public place.

The 62-year-old appeared at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Monday and is next due to appear at Bristol Crown Court on 4 September.

Avon and Somerset Police had more than 200 officers on standby during the protest in Yeovil on Saturday.
