The A259 in East Sussex has been closed in both directions following a serious crash on the Marsh Road at Hooe.

National Highways said the road was expected to remain shut for the rest of Thursday between the A27 at Westham and the B2182 near Bexhill-on-Sea.

The incident involves two vehicles, with East Sussex Fire and Rescue sending five fire engines and a technical rescue unit at 11:26 GMT.

It said three people had been extracted and handed to ambulance crews.
