Two men have been jailed for supplying and distributing heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine valued at about £70,000.

Police said the "drug peddlers" admitted being part of a county lines network operating from Bradford to Bridlington.

Louis Titre, 30, of Richardson Street, Bradford was jailed for five years and three months, and Darren Worgan, 41, of Victoria Road, Bridlington, was jailed for seven years, at Hull Crown Court on Tuesday.

PC Claire Dobson said: "Removing individuals like Titre and Worgan from our streets is a significant step in protecting the public and restoring confidence in the safety of our neighbourhoods."

Police said their investigation exposed the scale and structure of the drugs network, with the county line sending out daily bulk text messages advertising the sale of class A drugs.

Titre regularly travelled to Bridlington to deliver drugs and collect cash, while sending instructions to Worgan, who managed local distribution in the town, police said.

Officers carried out simultaneous drugs warrants in Bradford and Bridlington on 30 January and recovered a number of burner phones, about £70,000 worth of drugs and about £9,800 in cash.

Officers found Titre at his home attempting to barricade the door with a sofa while wielding a machete above his head.

In March Titre pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, possession with intent to supply class A crack cocaine and class A cocaine, and acquiring criminal property and affray.

At the same hearing Worgan pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, and acquiring criminal property.

PC Dobson added: "I hope today's outcome serves as a stark warning to those who think it's acceptable to bring harm into our communities. The supply of drugs ruins lives, fuels violence, and exploits the most vulnerable members of society."
