A Grade II listed former hotel will be turned into flats and offices after a council gave plans the green-light.

The owners of The Bear Hotel in Chippenham, Wiltshire, want to convert the 18th century Market Place building into five apartments, one maisonette and office accommodation.

According to the plans, the ground floor tapas bar will be unaffected by the redevelopment, the Local Democracy Reporting Service said.

Wiltshire Council approved the revised proposals on 9 August.
