A man died and two people were injured when two cars were involved in a collision.
The 21-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, after a grey BMW estate and a black Renault Clio crashed, on the A34 Stone Road, near Stoke-on-Trent
Staffordshire Police said the collision happened at about 20:30 GMT on Saturday.
Officers are looking to speak to car enthusiasts who were parked in a layby nearby and the driver of a dark coloured sports type motorcycle, who was in the vicinity when the crash happened.
A passenger in the BMW and the driver of the other car were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the police added.
Any witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage of the crash, which took place on the southbound side of the road, between Trentham Gardens and the Monkey Forest island, should contact police.
