Human remains found after barn fire

Human remains have been found after a fire severely damaged a barn in a Warwickshire village.

Emergency services were called to reports of the fire in Wood End, Atherstone, at about 20:00 GMT on Tuesday.

Warwickshire Police said human remains had been discovered in the barn, after firefighters had controlled the blaze.

The remains have not yet been identified, the force added.

Detectives said the cause of the fire was not being treated as suspicious at this time.

"If anyone has any information that can help with our investigation, contact us citing incident 316 of 19 November," a spokesperson said.
