Nottingham City Council has reported disruption to services due to a power cut on Thursday.
The authority said power problems at Loxley House had caused issues with phonelines, payments and online services, while appointments at the Station Street building were being rescheduled.
A spokesperson said "a number of our systems are down" and added: "If residents had an appointment at Loxley House today, with the council or DWP, this will need to be rearranged – please don't come to Loxley House."
They added that teams were working to resolve the problem "as soon as possible".
