Advice and tips for dealing with snow and ice has been issued to residents across Lincolnshire ahead of cold weather.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for "a spell of snow" in the region from 19:00 GMT until 10:00 on Tuesday.
Areas that might be impacted include Lincoln, Wragby, Market Rasen and Kirton in Lindsey.
BBC Weather said temperatures would be much lower than the mid-November average by day, with some very cold and frosty nights.
What to expect
The Met Office said there could be:
Possible travel delays on roads and delays or cancellations to rail, bus and air travel
A chance of injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
Power cuts may occur and mobile phone coverage may be affected
Some rural communities could become cut off.
How to drive safely
Lincolnshire Police shared tips on its social media platforms about driving safely in icy conditions:
Give yourself plenty of time to defrost your car by starting the engine and activating the blowers to speed up the job
Leave enough space on icy roads to allow for braking distance
Think slow and smooth for steering, and braking and accelerating in a higher gear for grip
Try to avoid stopping on a hill
Plan your route and consider alternatives
Put a blanket, warm coat, phone charger, good footwear, torch, flask of tea and biscuits in your car - just in case.
Staying safe indoors
Residents are advised to keep the thermostat set to the same temperature and to turn off electrical heaters and fires before going to bed
Instead of bulky clothing, wear layers of loose-fitting, lightweight, warm clothing
Eat regularly and have hot drinks
Keep windows closed to avoid breathing in cold air, which can increase the risk of chest infection
Look out for elderly relatives or neighbours, and pets
When walking on foot, use pavements along main roads and wear footwear with grip.
