A cordon is in place while police investigate a report that a woman was raped in Norwich city centre.

Norfolk Police said the incident was believed to have taken place on the footpath between Prince of Wales Road and Riverside at about 23:30 BST on Wednesday.

A stretch of the path near the railway station has been sealed off while officers conduct inquiries.

The force is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area to get in touch.
