Police have urged drivers to slow down because of "challenging" driving conditions caused by hailstorms.

Thames Valley Police said "slippery" stretches were affecting the M40 between junction 5 at Stokenchurch and junction 6 at Lewknor.

The M40 between junctions 4 and 5 was also closed due to a collision, external at about 09:00 GMT leading to long delays, according to National Highways.

The road was reopened at about 09:45.
