A biker who was killed in a crash near Langholm in Dumfries and Galloway has been named by police.

Thomas Edgar died from his injuries after his motorbike was involved in a crash on the A7 between Middleholm and Skippers Bridge on Saturday.

The 71-year-old was airlifted to hospital, but died before arriving.

Insp Bob McNay said: "Our thoughts are with Thomas' family and friends at this difficult time."
