Thieves damaged a JD Sports store in an early morning ram raid.

Two flat-bed vehicles ploughed into the front of the sports shop at Cleveland Retail Park, in Middlesbrough, at about 03:00 BST, Cleveland Police said.

The suspects then took products from the rails, the force added.

A JD spokesperson said the store remained closed while it was made safe for staff and customers.

Cleveland Police has asked anyone with information to contact the force.
