Teenagers and pets have been evacuated from a property after a piece of farm machinery caught fire and flames spread to a nearby field.

Firefighters from Suffolk and Norfolk were called to reports of a combine harvester on fire on Hepworth Road, in Market Weston, Suffolk, at 14:15 BST on Wednesday.

Upon arrival crews found the fire had spread to approximately one acre (0.4 hectares) of standing wheat, and high-voltage power lines had been brought down in the field.

The combine harvester and standing crop fires were extinguished, but firefighters remained at the site.

Surrounding properties were unaffected by the fire, but engineers from UK Power Networks attended to isolate the power.
