Man raped woman on day he was released from prison

A man who raped a woman on the day he was released from prison has been jailed.
Tylor Munslow attacked his victim in a car park at Bestwood Country Park at about 23:30 BST on 15 September 2023.
Nottinghamshire Police said he had earlier been released on licence from HMP Ranby where he had been serving a sentence for assault.
The 24-year-old, of no fixed address, was jailed for nine years and handed a restraining order not to contact the victim at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday.
The court heard a member of the public had called 999 after witnessing an "obviously distressed" woman in a car with Munslow.
Although the car was driven away, police located it and the victim told them she had been beaten and raped.
The court heard Munslow had been drinking and said his victim had given consent.
The case was set for trial but Munslow changed his pleas on 8 October and admitted rape, assault by penetration and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
After the sentencing, Det Con Gemma Rimmer said: "Munslow subjected [the victim] to a violent and extremely shocking ordeal before refusing to admit what he had done for over a year.
"This meant the victim had to endure a lengthy and distressing legal process that verged upon a crown court trial.
"His actions that night were utterly despicable and have unsurprisingly had a very significant impact on his victim."
