A man attacked two people after trying to go through a road closure put in place so a Netflix programme starring actor Martin Freeman could be filmed, police have said.

Avon and Somerset said the man approached a road closure on Henrietta Street, Bath, between 11:00 and 15:30 BST on Friday 2 August.

After being challenged for trying to pass the closure he assaulted two people, injuring one of them.

Police said the man was white, in his late 60s, approximately 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build.

They also said he had fair, grey hair and was wearing glasses, a faded neon yellow bucket hat, a white short-sleeved shirt and beige/light grey shorts.

It was reported at the time, external that actor Martin Freeman was in the same location filming a new adaption of the Agatha Christie novel The Seven Dials Mystery for Netflix.

Avon and Somerset Police said there were several members of the public in the area, some who may have captured the incident on their mobile phones.

They have asked anyone with footage or information related to the incident to get in touch.
