Boy, 16, charged with attempted murder after fight

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a man suffered "serious knife injuries" in a fight in Nottingham.

Police were called to St Ann's Way in St Ann's at about 23:00 GMT on Sunday following reports of an altercation between two people.

The victim, in his 30s, was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition, said Nottinghamshire Police.

The 16-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, will appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court charged with attempted murder and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place on Thursday.
