A paedophile has been jailed for 12 years for instructing people abroad to livestream the sexual abuse of children.
Jamie Barnes, 47, had messages showing he was arranging the livestreaming, as well as indecent photographs of children on his electronic devices.
He was sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court on Friday after being found guilty of arranging the commission of a child sex offence and two counts of making an indecent photo of a child.
Barnes, of Rivendale, Werrington, on the outskirts of Peterborough, was also ordered to sign the sex offenders' register and was handed an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Officers arrested him and seized his devices after receiving information about his online activity between November 2020 and January 2022.
Det Con Zip Lloyd, from Cambridgeshire Constabulary, said: "Although Barnes didn't commit any contact offences himself, his behaviour led directly to the contact sexual abuse of children.
"Child protection is a force priority, and we will do everything in our powers to bring those who abuse young people to justice."
Barnes also admitted possessing heroin and cannabis, found when his home was searched.
