Elderly man and woman die in house fire

A man and woman, both believed to be in their 90s, have died in a house fire, according to police.
Emergency services were called to reports of the blaze in Firs Drive, Rugby, shortly after 07:10 GMT on Monday.
Warwickshire Police said officers and firefighters remained on the scene and an investigation into the cause of the fire was in its early stages.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said the man and woman had been inside the property and they were confirmed dead at the scene.
It added that a second woman was assessed by ambulance staff before being discharged.
