Hundreds of tents left as festival clean-up begins
Tents and reusable items left behind at Leeds Festival site
- Published
Hundreds of tents and other reusable items have been left behind by festival-goers at Bramham Park, following the Leeds Festival.
The event, featuring headliners Chappell Roan and Hozier, was held over the bank holiday weekend.
Organisations, such as Surplus to Purpose, will scavenge for items they can use to help people.
Festival Republic, which runs the event, said its message to those attending is "take your tents home".
The festival website also stated the majority of abandoned equipment ends up "going to energy from waste because it is impossible to recycle or reuse" and urges people to take any broken items to recycling points.
