Man charged with murder of woman in 'no-body' case

A man has been charged with the murder of a woman missing since last month.

A "no-body" murder investigation was launched on Friday after the disappearance in late January of Julie Buckley, 54, of Christchurch, near March, Cambridgeshire.

Karl Hutchings, 47, of The Hill, Christchurch, is due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The force has appealed for information about Ms Buckley's whereabouts and is urging anyone who has seen her in recent weeks to get in touch.

Police said that while they had always aimed to find her alive, evidence suggested she had come to serious harm.

On Saturday, it said searches were being carried out to determine the circumstances of her disappearance.
