Wightlink car ferries are set to move terminals while work is carried out on the ferry port in Portsmouth.

It means Portsmouth and Fishbourne ferries will sail from the International Port off the M275 instead of the terminal in Gunwharf Road.

Sailing times will change and crossings will be about 15 minutes longer, taking about one hour.

The temporary move will be in place from 27 January - 2 February. The ferry firm said it would be in touch with those already booked to travel between the dates.

The temporary route cannot be used by foot passengers.

Wightlink said those travelling on foot would need to use the Portsmouth Harbour - Ryde Pier Head FastCat route instead, with extra sailings being put on.

The ferry firm said bookings must be made in advance. It said travellers who arrive at the International Port without a booking will not be able to sail.
