A man has been found not guilty of the murder of a man who died seven years after being attacked in Leicester city centre.

Jamie Burrows, 36, was hit in the head with a brick in Belgrave Gate on 18 January 2014, a jury at Leicester Crown Court heard.

He died on 12 November 2021 after suffering a seizure at home, his mother told the court.

Nathan Forbes, 38, of London Road, Oadby, Leicestershire, was cleared of his murder on Monday.

He previously admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent and served an 80-month sentence.
