A plane coming in to land at Guernsey Airport flew below the minimum height required to approach when attempting to land, investigators have said.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said it was "made aware" of the incident on Monday 12 August, which was a foggy and cloudy day.

It said it was "investigating this incident and will publish a report in due course".

Airline Aurigny said it would "not be appropriate for us to comment on matters that are the purview of the AAIB" on a social media post, external about its leasing of a plane.

Aurigny has been approached for comment.
